That's right guys, this is only the beginning. After bombarding the guys at DBG Technologies with some of the ideas I've long been waiting for, 'the New C2M' is finally off the ground. There's still a few tricks up our sleeve though but you'll have to wait for phase 2 which won't be too far around the corner.
Firstly I want to say a big thanks to DBG for getting this up to speed so quickly and if you're as impressed with the site as I am then please support them if you ever need a new website. I should also recognise the huge achievements of my previous C2M partner 'Andy Steven' who co-founded the site with me back in 2002 and I wish him the best for his new adventures in the World Wide Web.
I hope this new version of C2M opens up a different view to cycling and reinforces it's position as the premium Hill Climb Ranking site.
Cheers

This certainly looks different, and the navigation around the site takes a while to get used to (because so much has changed). Good to have a hillclimbing site that devoted to the experience of overcoming the nemesis of cycling - namely the incline. A few new ideas could be added, like for instance the speed or time of descent - the fun part of hillclimbing. Hope you add a section for stationary RPM bikes? I spend a lot of time each week just going nowhere in the gym, but still churning out the revs and sweating alot! Congrats on the new site Brett and thankyou for giving us this useful tool. I really like the profile of the ascents and time trial courses - a really nice touch! Regards Robert

The new site looks great. We should not forget to thank Andy for all the work he has done for the site in the past.
Great work Brett, I like the cycling curcuits as well, although the Talent ID, I know I am talented but not that much. LOL.
Keep up the good work.

Hey Jeffrey, yeah the past is not forgotten. I did actually put an initial thread on thanking Andy for all his work previous to going our separate ways but it got lost in the transition of going live today. edited by Brett Aitken on 10/24/2008

Nice work Brett, it will be interesting to see how the two websites evolve. I am sure most of us will continue to frequent hillclimbr as well as here, but through natural selection and what each site offers will perhaps determine the lifespan.
Good luck. jason

Hi, I think hillclimbr is unique enough in offering the exercise diary and being able to easily upload photos and blog to our hearts content that it should continue to be around for along time yet. Im still having trouble navigating around this site as my mailbox has disappeared off into cyperspace somewhere? Hillclimbr could do with a few more smileys Thanx to everyone for using both sites because then we all benefit and are winners. The interaction between cyclists and groups to organise rides or find information about what is on offer has been really good.

As feedback, I find the maps a bit small on my laptop with the adverts a little overwhelming into the overall, available screen space. As the laptop is widescreen there seems to be a lot of space outside of the adverts doing nothing. Otherwise - looks great, love that its local.

Thanks Peter, I spoke to the guys at DBG last week about some ideas and they are hoping to roll out some "Phase 2" developments before Christmas. New features will include more personalised customisation, linking friends into your circuit rides, some variations of 'What If' and a few other cool things to get everyone going in the new year.

Hi Andy,
For some some reason the Barracuda Spam Filter was blocking all emails to admin@cycle2max.com which they are fixing at the moment. Can you please send it to admin@cycle2max.com.au as this definitely works at the moment.
Thanks.
The team at c2m.
