I have often ridden with Giro helmuts and on two occasions I have landed upside down and destroyed my helmut yet my brian was alright.... I'd recommend 'em.

Just awaiting a new Giro I've ordered off of PBK, its the Saros model but each style to their own and they've got plenty of colours models and brands available. Sounds like I bloody work for them...sheez!

Worn a few helmets in the past and as long as they meet Aussie standard any seem to be okay. Have cracked a few with hitting the odd bus or taxi in the bike lane. If you have met me you may not be convinced that the helmet has protected me from brain injury......still alive though, and still pedalling

different helmets fit different heads. my advice is to try before you buy.
buying a helmet online without trying before hand is not going to get us the best fit. best fit = safer helmet.
vents and models dont mean zip if it doesnt fit us properly..

oh well just in the shop - they made sure it fit right & straps were right & didnt flap about etc. They even used zip ties to hold the straps from flapping about.Last time I got a helmet the guy in the shop took a look & said "thats fine" & left me to it

i was also looking for a new helmet and went to bicycle express but the price for a giro ionos was around $500, so i ended up ordering one from wiggle for $230 including freight- i could not justify there price for a professional fit: i would like to be able to support local shops but that is a huge difference.

You may also find that if you are involved in an accident wether being your fault or not whilst wearing a helmet that doesnot have the Australian Stadard approval sticker afixed to it that the Insurance company may not pay out on any claim !!!! Amotherr reason to buy from your LBS. ( that $230.00 saving could end up being a major expense )
