We all love looking into a bike shop and drooling or snapping out necks when we drive past a rider while driving similar to how we did with girls when we first got our licence. Im going with:

09 Pinarello Prince (Red/white/Carbon)
Dura-ace 7900 (oohhh yeah)
Zipp 202's wraped in continental GP Force/Attack
FSA K-wing handlebars
Look Keo's

I would like the new Giant with the new Zipp 202 Wheels. SRAM Red looks cool. I have owned a lot of bikes and the T Mobile Advanced ISP I have at the moment is the best bike I have ever had.

For those that can appreciate retro...
Mine is a Vitus 992 (about 15 years old) bonded aluminum rather than carbon. Dont need to worry about paint chips or damage to clear coat finish of carbon as this one is anodised - wipe down with a damp sponge. Stands out well in a peleton, not many left now and a collectors item. Weighs about 8.8 kg with the pedals, bottle cages, and flightdeck. The groupset is Dura Ace 7700 (9 speed) which has been upgraded with titanium bolts. Sean Kelly won the 1992 Milan to San Remo on a Vitus 992. It handles extremely well on rapid decents. Very comfortable to ride, especially for those century rides.
Recently built up another Vitus 992 (titanium coloured -anodised) with complete Mavic SSC groupset (including the famous star fish crankset and Mavic 571/2 hub set with Mavic Open Pro rims) and down tube shifters to keep that retro feel - use it to ride to work. Should hang it up in my lounge room but it is a bike that screams "ride me". I will probably post the photos of this bike later.

Hi,
This Vitus 992 with complete Mavic SSC groupset is what I regard as a dream setup. It weighs 9.2 kg complete. The frame and forks including headset weighs about 2.6 kg. It is bonded ovalized aluminum tubing which is lugged. It is a fairly stiff frame with integrated forks/headset which was well ahead of its time in 1992. The bars, stem and headset are all Mavic. The crankset is the famous Mavic 631 "starfish" ridden by Greg Lemond in the late eighties. The chainrings are 53/42 and are very hard to find but the good news is that shimano chain rings will also fit. The rear cluster is also Mavics saw tooth design 12-21. The hubs are Mavic 571/2 and I have the compatible aluminium Shimano hub body which can be interchanged in about a minute with the Mavic one. The derailleurs are Mavics own design and are totally rebuildable, as no rivets but held together with circlips. The rims are Mavic Open Pros with the colour changing stickers (very cool when the wheels are spinning).Only friction down tube shifters here to keep the bike very retro. The brake set is Mavics hidden spring design and their response to Campagnolos Delta brakes of the same era! The levers are aero so all cables are hidden which makes for a very neat bike. Very comfortable bike to ride and is especially good for climbing - absolutely my favorite bike. This bike now is very rare and definitely high end engineering quality for its time (they dont make them like this anymore!
