A few weeks ago the reuseable link in my chain let go while I was happily spinning my way up the lower section of Coromandel Parade. The chain wrapped in the spokes and took out 10 drive side and pulled the derailleur backwards and up and bent the frame - what a mess it made of my Vitus. I took it into Mega Bike in Blackwood. Noel and Sam assessed it and referred the frame to Claude down in Hyde Park store. Today I received the frame back, all straight and aligned. Put the whole thing back together tonight very easily and even rode it to work. Big thankyou Claude, Noel and Sam, service really is everything, even for us die hard retro riders. It is good to know that there are people that are passionate about old bikes as much as new ones! (Although I have had this particular bike a short while, it has alot of sentimential value and is the best bike I have ever ridden.) Keep up the good work - at least I can continue to give Humpty Hill a real good shake on those Saturday mornings. Come Try the Blackwood Mega Bike ride on saturday mornings 730 start at Mega Bike Blackwood.
