Last year during the TDU I think there was a group ride some mornings with Phil Liggett. Does anyone know if that is on this year?

does phil exist ? is he a figment of our imagining ? tried 3 times last year - never saw him. Heard one seasoned observer suggest he's a puppet!

I have heard through BikeSA that the Phil Liggett rides will be taking place during the TDU week. The group will be leaving the Adelaide Hilton 233 Victoria Square at 7am every morning and returning to the Hilton or a cafe in Adelaide. It is not guaranteed that Phil will ride every morning. The rides will vary in distance and speed.

I did that ride with Phil once. Nice guy, we all sat down and had a coffee afterwards in Rundle St, group photo was taken and we all cruised off our separate ways...

Not long, I seem to recall the ride I went on went up Norton, into Forest Range, across Deviation and back down Greenhill, or it may have evn come across from Summertown... Long time ago and plenty of beer drunk since then.

Did the Phil Ligget group ride Saturday morning (17/01)? Saw a heap of guys at the top of the Old Freeway bike path at Crafers.. Out of the corner of my eye thought one of them looked like Phil....

city messenger informs me that 6:15 sharp out front of hilton is start time for the so called phil liggett rides. it really seems to be a la squadra ride that phil does if he can - rode one last year and went out tea tree gully way, down to the coast at semaphore and then to glenelg and back to cafe bocelli on wakefield and hutt corner - about 80k all up - wife rang me during ride and asked if i had seen phil - i replied he was probably up the pointy end somewhere - response was he was 10metres from her in vic square - so definately a la squadra ride i did!!
